The little holes in our garden leaves were eaten by caterpillars. Caterpillars are basic and necessary for raising wild bird chicks. So instead of looking at our leaves and seeing holes, we can try to see them as brimming with life.

On hold for a mini show of my work in June at Carnegie Gallery until June 18.

ROBINS
by Greg Kennedy, SJ

ravenous homemaker/meditative sitter
unwearied wet nurse
vernal mother/autumn tourist
the sky you wrap
your newest life in
that breaks, feeds, then flies
in ageless circles never old
is a conversation I hope we have
someday soon while both brooding
on a blue-blessed nest
made by a shared artistic instinct.
