Gallery - Jesuit Pear Collection
These pieces are the result of an ongoing search into the history and significance of the Jesuit or Mission Pear, a fruit tree brought over from France by settlers in at the Ontario/Michigan border (and probably other parts of Canada and the US as well). Some of these trees still stand, at the ripe old age of 250-300 years of age. Read more about it in my BLOG.
