Into the Light
2019 20" fabric wall hanging This piece was a commission for an organization that gives prisoners time away from incarceration, to meet one on one and in discussion circles with compassionate volunteers. For some of these men, it is the first time anyone has cared enough to listen to them. I was asked to create a piece that embodied the ideas set by the founder of the organization, for an anniversary celebration. All the elements in this piece are symbolic, and it now lives in Springfield, Nova Scotia.
